Soulcial Trust, in partnership with Krousar Thmey, a Cambodian NGO working in the protection of disadvantaged children, started its blind football training for children from Krousar Thmey School in Siem Reap last week. About 20 children were present during the first training sessions.

Our new coach and team member, Metrisak, introduced the young players to the sound balloon and the vocabulary specific to blind football. The laughter and smiles reflected the fun of the children, most of whom were playing football for the first time, and the pleasure they had with our team. The cécifoot training sessions will take place twice a week at Krousar Thmey school until the end of the school year, much to the delight of the children…. And coaches!

By developing our disability activities in Siem Reap, we aim to reach and impact more people in Siem Reap province, giving them access to the benefits of sport such as: improving their physical and psychological health, making new friends, becoming more independent, developing their social skills, boosting their confidence, and having fun!
