New partnership for the Zumba dance therapy classes for children with autism
We are thrilled to announce that we recently partnered with Grace House Cambodia to provide access to Zumba classes to 6 new children as part of our Adaptive Sports Programme. The adapted Zumba dance therapy classes, our latest activity that has been going strong since February this year, allow children with special needs to get access to sport and express themselves through dance. The Zumba sessions also allow the parents, teachers and children to have fun together while benefiting for everybody’s physical and mental health.
By offering our activities to more children with mental disability, we increase Soulcial Trust’s impact while strengthening the bond between the children and their families, allowing them to spend time together and forget about the disability for an hour every week. The children improvement, although slow and uneven due to their specificity, is showing. They can match the songs with the movements, (especially the Baby Shark song, their favorite) and are more and more at ease with the other participants and educators.
We would like to thank our partners Safe Haven and Grace House for their amazing work with the children and their trust in our project.
